Success Center open house showcases available services

On September 24, the Success Center hosted an open house to showcase its services to all students. The event was well-attended, with students enjoying food, games, prizes, therapy dogs, and live music performed by a student band. Students also learned about tutoring services, workshops, and a quiet Homework Lounge available through the Success Center.

Woodworking hosts Festool and local tool dealers

The Woodworking Manufacturing Technologies (WMT) Department recently hosted Festool, a high-end woodworking tool manufacturer, in its facilities. During a week in September, Festool taught several local tool dealers about its latest tools and the features designed to help woodworkers in the field. According to a Festool representative, the company trained 37 dealer employees during the four-day visit. “The tool dealers in the area are part of the community WMT serves,” said Department Chair Reuben Foat. “We were delighted to have passionate representatives of the woodworking industry visit us and learn about Festool products.”

Campus Police release Hispanic/Latinx Pride Patch

The Cerritos College Police Department is proud to display the Hispanic/Latinx Pride Patch to show its support for Latinx students, faculty, and staff. If you see an officer wearing the patch, feel free to ask for one. They carry extras to hand out to our campus community.

Student Convocation on October 16
