New bill introduced to streamline high school to Cerritos College enrollment for students

Assemblymember José Luis Solache introduced Assembly Bill 1636, the Cerritos College Seamless Enrollment Act, to create a pilot program that simplifies the transition from high school to community college. The bill enables Cerritos Community College District to automatically generate "ready-to-enroll" records for graduating seniors using existing K-12 data. This initiative aims to eliminate barriers for first-generation and low-income students while maintaining their choice to attend college, building on the success of the Cerritos Complete Promise Program. Club Rush ignites campus spirit with food and fun

Student Activities kicked off the semester with Club Rush on January 27, where new and returning students explored various on-campus clubs. From academic pursuits to unique hobbies, there was something for everyone. Students had the chance to explore a variety of clubs and, by collecting three signatures from their favorite ones, scored a delicious free lunch from the beloved local gem, Taco Nazo. It was a day full of discovery, delicious food, and community spirit.
