ACCT president Jee Hang Lee visits the campus
Jee Hang Lee, president and CEO of the Association of Community College Trustees, visited the campus on March 20. He toured the Veterans Resource Center, Falcon's Nest, and The Village, and learned about the college's students-first approach and innovative academic and basic needs support programs for students from underrepresented backgrounds.
Stephanie Minami named Employee of the Month of February 2024
The Outstanding Classified/Confidential Employee Selection Committee named Stephanie Minami the recipient of the Outstanding Classified/Confidential Employee of the Month Award for February 2024. Stephanie began her career at Cerritos College in 2015 as a program assistant in Public Affairs. Within eight months, she was promoted to Foundation secretary for the Cerritos College Foundation... The Society of American Period Furniture Makers visits Cerritos College
The woodworking department hosted the Society of American Period Furniture Makers' annual meeting and lecture series from March 15 to 17. As a part of the event, Tod Herrli, a renowned guest speaker and a master plane maker, taught participants about profiled hand planes and their usage. The lecture was held in collaboration with the student club Cerritos Student Association of Woodworkers (CSAW). Tod is a well-known personality in the woodworking community, having appeared on popular PBS television programs such as The Woodwright's Shop and The American Woodshop. He has also written articles on plane making for magazines like Popular Woodworking.
Join the Campus Day of Giving on April 2
The Cerritos College Foundation is hosting a Campus Day of Giving on April 2, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., by the Library shade structure. We invite all faculty and staff to stop by and support the foundation and its work toward providing scholarships, programs, and services for our students. Donations to the foundation will be accepted at the booth. Information about foundation programs will also be available. Come out and enjoy some complimentary snacks and refreshments! Community Resource Fair on March 26
The Re-Entry program will host the 15th annual Community Resource Fair on Tuesday, March 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Center. Attendees can learn about community resources such as legal aid, healthcare, social services, credit counseling, child care, emergency shelters, treatment programs, and on-campus resources. Representatives from local social service and community resource agencies will be on hand to provide information and answer questions about their services. View the flyer.

Join the Falcon Games 2024: employees vs students kickball game
It's time for some friendly competition before we end the school year! Sign up to compete in the annual Falcon Games: Employees vs. Students Kickball Game on April 19. If you can't play on the field, we also invite the Cerritos College community to join us and cheer on your team!
