S.E.R.V.E. Program - Service Learning / Fieldwork

Teacher TRAC Student writing math problems on the chalkboardS.E.R.V.E. is a partnership program between Cerritos College and CSULB to allow students the opportunity to do on-site observation as well as student teaching as part of their requirements for getting their Multi Subject Credential in Elementary Education.

The Cerritos College Teacher TRAC Service Learning / Fieldwork Program is designed to give the SERVE Interns an opportunity to:

  • Work with students individually and in small groups to provide academic support and encourage personal growth.

  • Obtain real-world fieldwork experience which allows them to see what they are studying in the classroom applies in a K-8 classroom setting.

  • Complete a minimum of 40 hours supporting literacy needs of a diverse population of at-risk students by the end of their 2nd year in Teacher TRAC.
