Teacher TRAC Educational Partners:

California State University, Long Beach (CSULB):

Cerritos College and California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) have a long and strong history of working together to improve education. Currently Cerritos College and CSULB have a model partnership revolving around the preparation of K-6 teachers. This 2+2 program has successfully integrated the two programs such that Cerritos College Teacher TRAC offers a comprehensive, fully articulated curriculum that mirrors almost exactly the first two years at CSULB and is aligned with the California Content Standards and California Standards for the Teaching Profession (CSTP).

Teacher TRAC students receive focused advising, tours of CSULB’s College of Education (CED), and guidance in applying to the Liberal Studies degree program at CSULB. Support continues at CSULB through Liberal Studies advising, the Liberal Studies Student Association, and events for CED students.

California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA):

CSU Los Angeles SealCerritos College and CSULA enjoy a formal partnership through the Woodworking and Automotive programs and the Department of Technology, respectively, to provide students an opportunity to complete courses that meet CSULA B.S. Industrial Technology degree requirements. The Chancellor's Office, California Community Colleges Teacher Preparation Pipeline Grant has provided an opportunity to formalize that partnership by developing pathways for future Industrial and Technology Education (ITE teachers). CSULA offers the Industrial Technology degree with a Technology Education Track that prepares students for teaching careers: Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology

Furthermore, CSULA is one of only two California State Universities offering a Single-Subject Credential program in Industrial Technology and Education (ITE).

ABC Unified School District (ABCUSD):

ABC Unified School District SealCerritos College and ABC Unified School District have been working together for a number of years to enhance Teacher Education. With the support of the ABC Unified School District, Cerritos College Teacher TRAC has been able to provide hands on experience and mentoring to Teacher TRAC Students in the Elementary Pathway and through our Special Education Internships. We appreciate all the support the District has supplied to us and our students and look forward to many more collaborative projects with the District in the future.

Bellflower Unified School District SealCerritos College and Bellflower Unified School District have been working together for a number of years to enhance Teacher Education. With the support from the Bellflower Unified School District, Cerritos College Teacher TRAC has been able to provide hands on experience and mentoring to Teacher TRAC Students both in the Elementary Pathway, but also through the Special Education Internship offered through Teacher TRAC.
