Evelyn Mattison, Administrative Clerk III, Named Employee of the Month of December 2015
The Outstanding Classified Employee Selection Committee named Evelyn Mattison as the recipient of the Outstanding Classified/Confidential Employee of the Month Award for December 2015.
Evelyn began her career at Cerritos College in December 2003 in the Business Education department and transferred to the Counseling department in 2009 as an Administrative Clerk III.
Evelyn works with the staff in the Cerritos College Transfer Center. Evelyn assists with coordinating trips to the state universities and is instrumental in setting-up the university college fairs where schools from all over the United States attend. .
The Transfer Center hosts a celebration for those students admitted to universities, and Evelyn plays a large part in making sure it runs smoothly and efficiently. She is detail oriented and has excellent follow-up skills. The Transfer Center recently moved into a new location, Evelyn made sure each counselor’s needs were met throughout the move. Evelyn has a great attitude and you will always find a smile on her face.
"Evelyn, we commend you for your outstanding service and dedication," said Dr. Jose Fierro, as he presented the award to Evelyn.
