Erica McLennan, Administrative Clerk II, Named Employee of the Month of January 2016
The Outstanding Classified Employee Selection Committee named Erica McLennan as the
recipient of the Outstanding Classified/Confidential Employee of the Month Award for
January 2016.
Erica began her career at Cerritos College working as a temporary employee with Talon Marks. In 2011, she was hired as Administrative Secretary II for the Health, Physical Education, Dance, and Athletics department.
Erica stands out for her positive attitude, high energy, and great patience. She
is efficient in her job and always handles the complexities of scheduling with a bright
smile on her face. Her unique qualities make her approachable for both staff and students.
Erica exhibited exceptional teamwork last year when the dance department was in need
some assistance. She helped staff re-evaluate both scheduling and curriculum assisted
with the coordination of a large dance event that benefited the students. She is always
willing to go above and beyond for the students and her Division
"Erica, we commend you for your outstanding service and dedication," said Dr. Jose Fierro, as he presented the award to Erica.
