Norwalk City Council Recognizes Cerritos College

Norwalk City Council members, Bob Arthur and Dr. Jose FierroThe City of Norwalk honored the College for its participation in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) program at its City Council meeting on March 1. The California Board of Equalization (BOE) partners with an organization to bring free income tax preparation services to residents every year. This year, BOE is teaming with Cerritos College on Saturday, March 26 to bring tax assistance to residents. Cerritos College Accounting Club students will be trained by the BOE and will prepare the returns for participants of the March 26 event, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the college’s Business Education Building. They will work under BOE oversight, and receive real world job experience at the same time as part of Norwalk Education Alliance.
