Send Silence Packing Exhibit to Raise Awareness about Suicide Prevention

Backpack displayWHAT: Active Minds student club will host the national Send Silence Packing exhibit on Thursday, September 29. The emotionally powerful exhibit of 1,100 backpacks representing the number of college students who die by suicide each year will be displayed in Falcon Square.

Active Minds staff, Student Health & Wellness Center representatives, DSPS counselors and staff, and student representatives will be on hand to provide information and resources.

The display travels to 14 college and university campuses nationwide this fall. For more information about Active Minds and the tour, visit http://www.activeminds.org/our-programming/send-silence-packing
