HPEDA Hosts Athletic Training Students from Osaka, Japan
Students get hands-on instruction from Cerritos College faculty
Twenty-one students from Osaka, Japan, visited Cerritos College on September 22 and
23 to learn from the College's top-notch athletic training professors and to experience
life at an American college. This marks the 13th year the College has welcomed students
from Osaka Jikei College in the Sports Therapy Program to teach them about the College's
offerings in Athletic Training Certification Program. The visiting students are majoring
in athletic training and medical training. During their visit, the students received
hands-on experience in taping techniques, first aid, and the latest trends in personal
training.
Cerritos College students also welcomed the Osaka students with a few friendly rounds of basketball and soccer, and cheerleading. To end the week, the Osaka students visited the athletic training facilities and physical therapy clinic at California State University, Long Beach.
