Student Pens Book on Racism

Terrence McCrea with his bookTerrence McCrea, English student, self-published his first book titled What Should We All Do After the Trayvon Martin Trial?

The nonfiction book focuses on what solutions about racism, the importance of education and learning history. “I’m another Trayvon Martin. I had to speak up against hate and violence,” he said, referring to injustice resulting from racial profiling of young black males. With the book, Terrence hopes to provide a solution to racism and killing.

Things have changed after Terrence published his book. Youth programs have invited him to speak and he has invitations from radio stations, including the Carl Nelson Show on WOL-AM 1450 and the ArtistFirst online radio.

Terrence plans to obtain a bachelor’s degree in English and attend law school to become a lawyer to solve social issues.
