Dr. Miodrag Micic Co-authors Article with International Team for Top Scientific Journal
Chair of Engineering Design Technology Miodrag “Mickey” Micic, Sc.D., Ph.D., M.T.M.,CSWP.,
CFI., co-authored an article on a key glycomic enzyme in a leading international
physical chemistry journal Journal of Physical Chemistry B. His co-authors include
faculty members and researchers from Nagasaki International University (Japan,) University
of Miami (Florida,) and MP Biomedicals (France and California.)
The article titled “β-Galactosidase Langmuir Monolayer at Air/X-gal Subphase Interface” explores beta galatsoisdase, a glycomic enzyme. “The glycomics is the next frontier in life science, as it is linked to diseases such as metastatic cancer and diabetes. Understanding the work of the glycomic enzymes may one day lead to a novel cure for such diseases,” said Dr. Micic.
