Retiree Terry Price Recognized

Terry Price and familyTerry Price taught composites and plastics for 41 years at Cerritos College.  During his tenure on campus, he has teamed with aerospace companies in Southern California such as Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, and Boeing, to provide training to their composite workers.

In addition, he has provided training to Government Agencies including The Department of Defense, U.S. Air Force, U.S Navy, and U.S. Coast Guard with a combined tally of over $4 Million of Contract training working collaboratively with Community Education, The Special Projects Office, Economic Development, and Centers for Applied Competitive Technology (CACT).

Over the years on campus, he was recognized and awarded two Distinguished Faculty Awards and one Most Outstanding Faculty Award by his peers and students.  He has also received a national Teaching Excellence Award through the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) from the University of Texas.

Terry has received numerous technical awards during his career and has authored several publications used in the defense and aerospace industries. Terry’s work can be seen from the budding interest level in the Boy Scouts of America’s merit badge for composites, to the professional level on the $30 million satellite’s solar panels for ham operators still in space orbit today.
