Retiring Board Member John Paul Drayer Recognized

Trustee John Paul Drayer and Dr. Jose FierroThe College recognized retiring board member John Paul Drayer for his service to Cerritos College at the April 5 board meeting. Drayer was elected to the Board in December 2012, and has served the College in the capacity for four years.

Since day one, Drayer took every opportunity to learn more about the students and employees, and the ways the College serves the community. Drayer has worked tirelessly to improve services to students and to advance the College relationship with the community. Upon his arrival he advocated for broadcasting options for the board meetings, so the community could view the meetings.

As a member of the Board, he supported increase hours for counseling, tutoring, the Success Center, and other important service areas. Drayer has been a vocal advocate for fiscal responsibility and transparency. He is looking forward his retirement, and plans to spend time with his family, travel, and take care of his family business.

"Through the past four years, Trustee Drayer has represented his constituents well. We wish him well in his new endeavors,” said Dr. Fierro.
