David Ward Named Employee of the Month of February 2017
The Outstanding Classified/Confidential Employee Selection Committee named David Ward
as the recipient of the Outstanding Classified/Confidential Employee of the Month
Award for February 2017.
Dave began his career at Cerritos College in 1989 for the Fine Arts/Theater division.
If you have ever attended a theater production here at Cerritos College, then you have seen Dave’s excellent set designs. Dave helped to design the portable entertainment technology program, which allows students to directly step into the entertainment job market once they finish the program.
Dave volunteers his time to CSEA which has included being a job steward for 15 years, and a chief negotiator for 13 years. He has met with over 100 employees to help them with reclassification, has served on the coordinating committee for 11 years, on planning and budget for five years, and joined the Hall of Fame committee in 2016. Dave has held the positions of First Vice President and Second Vice president of CSEA totaling 14 years.
"Dave, your dedication, commitment, and willingness to go above and beyond to meet the needs of the students and staff are exceptional," said Dr. Jose Fierro, as he presented the award to Dave. "We commend you for your outstanding service."
