Over 1,000 Seniors Attended Linda Snchez Annual Senior Fair at Cerritos College
Cerritos College hosted Congresswoman Linda Sánchez’ 15th Annual Senior Fair on August
11. More than 1,000 seniors and caregivers participated in the free event that featured
health screenings, information sessions, legal services and consultations with agencies
such as the Social Security Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs and senior
advocacy groups.
Approximately 70 vendors were onsite to providing free services such as screenings
for bone density, blood pressure, sun damage, and glucose levels. Other vendors provided
information to seniors regarding financial planning, reverse mortgages, elder rights,
housing rights, and caregiver assistance.
A free lunch was provided by the ABC Unified School District.
