Osaka students and Brian Cable in a taping workshopMore than 20 students from Osaka, Japan, visited Cerritos College from September 21 - 23 to learn from the College's top-notch athletic training instructors and to experience life at an American college. This marks the 16th year Cerritos College has welcomed students from Osaka Jikei College in the Sports Therapy Program to teach them about the College's offerings in Athletic Training Certification Program.

The visiting students were athletic training and medical training majors. Athletic trainers are among the experts called out onto the field at such times to administer first aid and to assess the nature and degree of the person's injury.

The students received hands-on training in taping techniques, first aid, and latest trends in personal training.

Cerritos College students welcomed the Osaka students with a few friendly rounds of basketball, soccer volleyball, and cheerleading.

To end the week, the Osaka students experienced pre-game taping, warm ups and the Falcon football game against the College of the Canyons, and visited the athletic training facilities and physical therapy clinic at California State University, Long Beach.
