Cerritos College Celebrates International Education Week

Educator panelThe Office of International Student Services hosted its 4th Annual International Education Week. The celebration included four days of activities ranging from presentations to dance performances.

 The festivities kicked off with a Global Competency presentation by History Professor Dr. John Haas. Dr. Haas shared his reflections on his recent trip to The Hague in the Netherlands. On day two, President Fierro, Engineering Design Technology instructor David Li, Political Science professor Victor Obasohan, and Librarian Paula Pereira shared their experiences, challenges, and success stories coming to the United States in a lively panel discussion.

The Model United Nations Club simulated UN deliberations on day three. The festivities on day four included performances by student dancers from on campus and Gahr High School. A presentations on Chicano Studies also took place. Additional events included presentations on e-commerce giant Alibaba and the College’s summer Taiwan program.
