Board of Trustees Passes Resolution Following Campus Threat

Following a bomb threat incident at Cerritos College on Tuesday, September 3, the Board of Trustees took swift action at its September 4 meeting to pass a resolution to determine if more security measures are needed at the College. All employees and students are invited and strongly encouraged to attend a campus-wide safety forum on Thursday, September 12 at 11 a.m. Link to the full story about Board resolution

College Welcomes New Employees with a Reception

Cerritos College hosted a new employees reception in the newly opened Conference Center on September 4. Dr. Fierro welcomed the group that began their careers with Cerritos College in 2019 with warm remarks. Approximately 50 employees joined the College since January 2019.

College Welcomes Back Students with Free Carl's Jr.

New and continuing students of Cerritos College were treated to a special welcome-back-to school tradition with a free Carl's Jr. meal. Nearly 1,000 meals were served on September 4 and 5 at the ASCC's Club Info activities in Falcon Square. Clubs provided information to get involved on campus with fun activities, displays and demonstrations.

College Seeks Applicants for Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee

The Cerritos Community College District is accepting applications to fill vacancies for the Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee. The Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee was established to oversee the expenditure of money for the construction, repair and modernization of campus projects.
