The visit also included a guided tour of campus facilities to showcase hands-on learning opportunities. Adding a layer of excitement, the schools participated in challenges that tested their expertise; La Mirada High School won the sports medicine trivia contest, while St. John Bosco High School secured first place in the hands-on skills competition. Winning teams were awarded prizes donated by several campus departments.

The visit showcased the robust dual enrollment partnerships that enable local students to get a head start on their careers. While students from Gahr and La Mirada complete multiple dual enrollment courses, those at St. John Bosco can complete an impressive seven-course sequence, allowing them to graduate high school with their Athletic Injury Certificate from Cerritos College already earned. The event highlighted the power of early college pathways and hands-on learning.
