First Year Experience

We have a program that gives you a great start in college!

The First Year Experience program (FYE) is a student success program designed to help students make a smooth and successful transition into college. FYE pairs classes together in “Houses” that focus on an area of interest and/or major; creating cohorts of students with shared interest.

FYE provides a supportive and welcoming learning community environment where students connect with one another and with creative faculty members. The FYE Houses are packaged together during prime class times, so they work well with your schedule and are guaranteed to the first 30 students who sign a contract. FYE also has events during the semester aimed at connecting you to campus and community.
