Description:
The CTX provides various workshops on Equity topics for faculty. The following list represent equity workshops for Spring 2021:
- FIRE: Faculty Inquiry and Research for Equity (Closed Event) – Every last Tuesday of each month
- Exploring Health Justice and Equity – January 21, 2021
- Pro Tips Support Session: Effective & Equitable Assessment – February 16, 2021
- Safe Zone Self-Paced Canvas Training – March 1-31, 2021
- Equity: Reflecting on what worked this semester and planning for the next - May 11, 2021
- Summer Institute: The Institute for a Transformative Teaching & Learning (ITTL) – June 2021
Intended Goals/Outcomes:
Each workshop has unique goals. Collectively, these workshops share the Educational Master Plan Goal A to strengthen the culture of completion.
Goal A1: Emphasize and strengthen an equity mindset in support of successful outcomes for all students.
Goal A8: Foster a culture of respect that reflects the campus commitment to diversity and inclusion and effectively addresses students’ needs for holistic, personal responsibility, situational awareness, and leadership development.
Assessment of workshops:
- Attendees complete satisfaction surveys immediately after workshop.
- The CTX will distribute a post-survey to attendees inquiring about use of workshop lessons.
