Ms. Jennifer Tejada

Interim Dean; San Ramon Campus of Diablo Valley College

Ms. Tejada is currently the Interim Dean of a small campus of Diablo Valley College which is also a multi-disciplinary Division in the college’s organizational structure.  She oversees scheduling, program growth, the development of new degrees and certificate programs, faculty hiring and evaluations as well as classified staff.  She serves on the owners’ group for the bond-funded construction project currently underway at our campus.  As a faculty member she served on the Student Learning Outcome committee and have conducted evaluations of both course and program level outcome assessments.  Ms. Tejada taught online hybrid courses and has taken training courses in effective online course design and substantive contact.  She served for 18 years (over the course of a 27-year career) as department chair. As Interim Dean, she has overseen student conduct issues as well as faculty disciplinary issues. Previously she was full time Professor of Communication Studies and Coordinator of the Program for Adult College Education (PACE), a transfer program designed for working adults
