Cerritos College
After serving 30 years in law enforcement, I retired as a police sergeant in 2011. Prior to beginning my full time law enforcement career, I worked as a student aide at California State University Long Beach Campus Police. I then went on to a municipal police department as a park ranger and police aide until I was hired as a full time police officer. During my law enforcement career, I worked in patrol, detectives, school resources and as a field training officer. I also supervised the patrol and traffic divisions and a multi city SWAT team until my retirement.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University Long Beach and a Master’s Degree from Brandman University in public administration. I have taught at Goldenwest College Police Academy, which included training and evaluating police officer trainees. In 2011, I began teaching at Cerritos College where I currently teach criminal justice courses in the Administration of Justice Department.
