Debbie Carlson

Debbie Carlson is an Orange County-based mixed media installation artist and sculptor. She is a first-generation Taiwanese immigrant. Carlson received her MFA from California State University Long Beach in 2014 and taught beginning Jewelry/Metal Fabrication and 3-D Foundation Design at Pasadena City College from Spring 2016 to Fall 2020. She also taught Three-Dimensional Design at Cerritos College in 2017 and returned to teach the same class in Spring 2022. She has exhibited in Los Angeles County, Orange County, San Diego County, and Arizona. She was awarded Second Prize for the 30th Annual Made In California Juried Exhibition and won the Mayor’s Choice Award for the 32nd Annual Made In California Juried Exhibition. Carlson was also featured in Art and Cake, ARTILLERY, Diversions LA, OC Weekly, and Orange County Register. Carlson teaches ART 121 Three-Dimensional Design.

Anthony Gonzalez and Donna Robinson

Anthony Gonzalez is a California native who has been a working artist, teacher and technician for over 20 years. His education has focused on visual arts specializing in sculptural work and experimentation in firing various clays and metals.

His teaching experience is broad – spearheading the Cerritos’ College for Kids Program in Ceramics, he has been working with youth both in the Visual Arts as well coaching and mentoring athletes from youth leagues up through High school. He was hired as Part Time Faculty at Cerritos College in 2017 and has continued to cultivate student growth both artistically and technically.

As the Adult Ceramics Program Consultant for Cerritos College, he has acted as the liaison between the Community Education Office and the students they serve. For the last five years, Gonzales has advised and educated Community Education students furthering the college’s mission to provide “these students with high quality, comprehensive instructional programs and support services that improve student success and offer clear pathways to achieve personal, educational, and career goals”.

Kylie Larsen

Kylie Larsen is a Studio Technician at Cerritos College and has been working with clay since 2019. After graduating with her BA in Psychology at California State University, Fullerton she took some time off to explore her artistic love for clay. She continued making ceramics, setting up her own studio focusing on hand built and sculptural work while also enrolling in courses at Citrus Community College. After taking a couple years off from her academic path, she is now pursuing a Masters in Counseling at California State University, Fullerton and hopes to incorporate her love for clay and art with her passion for helping others in the counseling field.

Donna Robinson

Donna Ropp Robinson received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics at the Kansas City Art Institute. She has been working in ceramics and glass for over 20 years. In 2000, she received her first scholarship to the Pilchuck Glass School in Washington founded by Dale Chihuly.  She was awarded the 2nd Artist-in-Residence at Red Star Studios – now part of The Belger Arts Center in Kansas City. Her graduate studies include MFA courses at the University of Hawaii, and she earned her Master of Arts at California State San Bernardino.

Robinson has been featured in The New York Times and Craft in America, her porcelain and glasswork also appear in the collection of the Ceramic Institute in Jingdezhen, China and the Ken Ferguson Collection at the Kansas City Art Institute. Locally, she has shown her work at Rio Hondo College Gallery, Marin Society of Artists, Chime & Co, Freehand Gallery and Robert V. Fullerton Art Museum.
