    Cerritos College and ABC, Downey, Lynwood, Norwalk-La Mirada, Paramount, Pasadena Unified School Districts, and St. John Bosco High School have signed new articulation agreements that will allow qualified high school students to dual-enroll at Cerritos College to earn college credit.   • Norwalk City Council Recognizes Cerritos College

    The City of Norwalk honored the College for its participation in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) program at its City Council meeting on March 1.   • University Fair A Success

    University fair brought more than 20 universities on campus on March 3. Students had an opportunity to meet with university representatives and learn about various institutions to determine their transfer campus. CSUs, UCs, private, and out-of-state universities provided information to students.

  • Dr. Erlinda Martinez Shares Her Journey as Latina College President 

    Santa Ana College President Dr. Erlinda Martinez presented a conversation about a journey of a Latina college president on March 3. Students and staff in attendance heard how Dr. Martinez found her calling for serving students and how she overcame difficulties. Dr. Martinez, who is retiring after this semester, previously served at Cerritos College as the vice president of student services.

  • Circle of Support Event Provides Keys to Success

    The Black History Month series closed with the Circle of Support event on February 29. Sponsored by Umoja, student success program especially for African-American and first-generation college students, Circle of Support familiarized students with various support programs and resources on campus through games and activities. Students learned how to be successful in their education while enjoying soul food and prizes.

  • History of Women Presidents in Latin America Examined at Women's History Celebration Event 

    History Professor Walter Fernandez presented about women presidents in Latin American countries on March 1, as part of Women's History Celebration activities. Walter shared his wealth of knowledge in leading ladies in Latin America dating back to 1970's and intriguing personal and cultural background behind the history of women presidents.  The Women's History Celebration festivities continue - join the celebration.  View Women's History Celebration flyer

  • Faculty and Staff Attending Commencement - Rent Cap and Gown Now!

    Your order must be returned to the Cerritos College Bookstore by March 25! Please follow the link for the rental order form. Please return your rental form via email to bfreeman@follett.com or you may drop off at the bookstore. Any orders received after the deadline may incur a late fee from Jostens and cannot be guaranteed in time for graduation. Jostens is anticipating having the rental regalia at the store on May 6. Payments will be made at the time of pick-up. Regalia can be returned to the bookstore on the Monday after.
