    Thanks to Measure CC (2004) and G (2012) Bond dollars, Cerritos College celebrated the grand opening of the new Mathematics/Computer Information Science (CIS) Building and Fine Arts Complex with a ceremony on February 15. Feature story is coming soon!

  • Coach Chris Featured on Concordia Billboard

     

    Look out for Concordia University Irvine's billboards that feature a familiar face! Coach and Director of Track and Field Chris Richardson completed the Concordia University Irvine Coaches and Athletic Administration Master's Program in 2009. Since then Coach Chris has had some extraordinary coaching endeavors, including his successes here at Cerritos College and the involvement with the United States of America Track and Field (USATF) organization being on the Team USA Coaching Staff the last three years.

  • Wear Purple on Thursday and Support 

     

    The iFalcon/Student Success Team encourage everyone to show support and raise awareness for iFalcon/Student Success by wearing purple on Thursdays. According to the team, purple is a color signifying wisdom, and represents the future, imagination, and dreams in color psychology. Go Falcons!

  • Black History Month Events Continue

     

    Black History Month explored the documentary movie on racism in the justice system 13th with a discussion facilitated by Instructor Damon Cagnolatti. Today, from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Umoja will introduce student support services available on campus with refreshments in Science 201. On Wednesday, February 22, History Chair Goeorge Jarrett will lead a discussion on the fight for black voting rights in Mississippi, with a video presentation of Freedom on My mind, 2 p.m. - 3:15 p.m. in Social Science 136. For more information, view calendar

    The Ortiz Funeral Room is in big trouble: The body of beloved community activist and nun Sister Rose has been stolen from the viewing room, and waiting for her proper return are some of New York City’s most emotionally charged, life-challenged neighborhood denizens, trying to find a place to put their grief, checkered pasts and their uncertain futures.   • Women's History Month 30th Anniversary Celebration

     

    Beginning this month through April, the College will host an expanded Women's History Celebration with various events exploring this year's theme Seeking Economic Justice: Employment Opportunities, Labor Fairness, and Gender Equality. Events will include lectures, panel discussions, student club activities, and film screenings. A seminar on global gender justice and group discussion of film on Thursday, February 23, 9:30 - 11 a.m. in SS 137 will kick off this year’s festivities...
