Cerritos College Celebrates International Education Week

Dance performanceIn celebration of the fifth annual International Education Week, the Office of International Student Services hosted a week full of activities featuring presentations and performances.

The festivities kicked off with the keynote address Globally Connected and Locally Engaged by Dr. Kelechi A. Kalu, Vice Provost for International Affairs, University of California, Riverside.

Student panelSix students who participated in the Taiwan Experience Education Program shared their summer study abroad and teaching internship experiences in Taiwan in a student panel. Librarian Paula Pereira and Counselor Dr. Lynn Wang shared their experiences, challenges, and success stories coming to the United States.

The festivities also included dance performances by the College’s dance students, information sessions on the study abroad pilot program in Italy and working visa, and a lion dance performance by local high school students.
