CARE/LINC/CalWORKS/Veteran Families Celebrate Holidays
Eighty families attended the CARE/LINC/CalWORKS/ Veterans Holiday Celebration in December.
Attendees enjoyed holiday crafts, face painting, music, and a scrumptious dinner. The
highlight of the evening was the children’s excitement to take photos with Santa Claus
and receive a special gift.
During the month-long toy drive, 23 departments volunteered countless hours to support the holiday event. Collectively, departments raised over $6,000 in cash donations, and collected toys, gift cards, and wrapping supplies. More than half of the donations were donated at the President’s Holiday Reception. Thanks to the campus’ overwhelming generosity, an additional 55 families received gifts after the event. In total, more than 260 children received gifts during the holiday season. The surplus in toys was donated to Toys for Tots.
The CARE/LINC/CalWORKS/Veterans offices extend their gratitude to everyone who participated in making the holiday event a success.
