High School Counselor Conference connects educators with key resources and opportunities
Nearly 150 high school counselors from the college's serving districts and beyond
participated in the 19th Annual High School Counselor Conference on January 30.
The event was organized by the School Relations Office and supported by various campus departments. It provided essential information and updates to high school counselors regarding admissions, career technical education, academic programs, and educational partnerships at Cerritos College.
The day began with a delightful breakfast prepared by culinary arts students. President Jose Fierro welcomed the attendees, highlighting the college's accomplishments and recent legislative updates. Vice President of Student Services Dr. Robyn Brammer presented results from the College Bound Buccaneers program, discussed transfer success, study abroad opportunities, and promoted the upcoming Senior Preview Day.
Featured breakout sessions included campus tours and presentations on dual enrollment,
financial aid, CalKids Scholarship, student accessibility services, Umoja, and transfer
information. The program concluded with a tabling session where guests could connect
with on-campus programs and services.
