The Printmaking program at Cerritos College, is a combination of introductory and advanced courses that explores the history and practice of printmaking, examining its evolution and significance as a contemporary art form. Students will engage in hands-on learning with core printmaking techniques, including relief printing (linocut, woodcut), intaglio (etching, drypoint), and screen printing. Advanced students experiment with multi-process projects, produce series-based works, and create professional portfolios customized for university transfer.

While no prerequisites are required, this course is particularly beneficial for students majoring in drawing, painting, photography, or graphic design. Prior completion of foundational courses such as Art 110: Drawing or Art 120: 2-D Design is recommended, as they provide essential knowledge of two-dimensional design principles.
