NORWALK, Calif. - March 2, 2022 – After transitioning in-person lecture classes online amid the omicron surge, Cerritos College is returning to in-person lecture classes on Monday, March 7. Student services will also reopen on-campus services, including Falcon’s Nest, a network of resources that support meeting students’ basic needs with a free campus food pantry, hygiene support, emergency aid, transportation assistance, and housing resources, among other services.
New guidance from the Los Angeles Public Health Department (LADPH) requires Cerritos College to test everyone who has not completed a full vaccination series and/or is eligible for a booster shot but has opted not to receive one. To accommodate the new requirements, the College began offering free walk-in COVID-19 testing on campus to employees, students, and the community.
The College will continue to follow its extensive safety protocols, including maintaining social distancing, daily cleaning and disinfecting health pre-screening, and an indoor mask requirement.
