Maria Barragan serves as the Program Facilitator for the UndocuFalcon Scholars Program. Her goal as a Program Facilitator is to create a brave space for undocumented students and UndocuEducators to feel welcomed, inspired, and celebrated. Maria received and AA-T in Communication Studies from Chaffey College, a Bachelors in Communication Studies from California State University, San Bernardino, and a Master’s degree in Higher Education-Student Affairs from the University of Redlands. Maria enjoys finding local coffee shops, visiting local gardens, and supporting Undocu & BIPOC creators and entrepreneurs.

Alejandro Beltran

Alejandro Beltran Cortez (He/Him/El) self-identifies as UndocuQueer. He graduated from Cerritos College in 2018 with an AA in Geography and transferred to CSU Long Beach where he graduated with a BA in Geography in 2020. Soon after, he began his master’s program and will be finishing the program spring 2023. Alejandro is passionate about academic research and has worked in various multidisciplinary undergraduate research projects. His research interests focus primarily on the impacts of neoliberal policies and transnational capitalism on migration. He is an immigrants’ rights advocate and has volunteered with non-profit organizations like Al Otro Lado. Currently, As the Research Fellow at CSULB’s Dream Success Center Alejandro and his team developed a model for UndocuAlly trainings with the purpose to improve the undocumented student experience. His goal is to pursue a PhD in Political Science.

Dr. Lui Amador

Dr. Lui Amador (he/him/his)

Dean of Student Equity and Success

Dr. Lui Amador serves as the Dean of Student Equity and Success at Cerritos College. He is proud to work with the Equity Center team and to serve our undocu students. Dr. Amador received his Bachelors in Politics from UC Santa Cruz, a Master’s degree in Cultural Studies from Claremont Graduate University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from California State University, Long Beach. Lui enjoys having adventures with his wife and children, and the head of the family, their cat Mufasa.
