Dreamers Reaching Empowement through an Academic Movement

Mission Statement

We are undocumented, DACAmented, AB540, UndocuQueer, UndocuAPI, Black Undocumented students at Cerritos College leading, creating, and advocating for policy change for generations to come. Undocumented Immigrants came to this country in search of a better life and oftentimes to escape the violence, poverty, and bad living conditions they faced in their native countries. The U. S. is home to undocumented people and dreamers. Throughout history, DREAMers have been identified as young people pursuing higher education and most recently those that have DACA. We, Undocumented Leaders Empowering All Dreams through Education, Resources, and Support (UndocuLEADERS), also want to acknowledge those that do not meet the DREAMer requirements and are still pursuing their dreams. Undocumented students at Cerritos College want to have an opportunity to affordable education that all other Americans benefit from and have the same rights as they have. We believe that all people deserve to be respected and treated with dignity deserving of human beings. We believe that no one should be deprived of this because of their ethnicity, race, religion, social class, age, disability, and/or sexual orientation. We are Undocumented Leaders Empowering All Dreams through Education, Resources, and Support (UndocuLEADERS) at Cerritos College. As a club we are here, “to empower students through education, bring awareness, and guide the campus in order to achieve equity in higher education.”
