The information below is provided to help prospective students understand the technical standards required for success in the Welding Technology Program. These standards are not conditions for admission, but rather reflect the performance abilities necessary to complete the program and eventually work in the industry.

Purpose
This document is intended to inform prospective Welding Technology students of the physical and functional expectations of the program. Our goal is to help you make an informed decision about enrolling in the Welding Technology Program at Cerritos College.
Why These Standards Matter
To ensure safe and effective practice, students must be able to perform specific functions aligned with these technical standards. Inability to meet these requirements may impact a student’s ability to:
- Meet course objectives
- Progress through the program
- Safely serve clients or employers in the field
