Re-Entry Student Receives Carmen Solis Pratt Scholarship

Diana NavarroThe Cerritos College Foundation recently awarded Diana Navarro of Signal Hill with the $1,800 Carmen Solis Pratt Scholarship.

Judge Dan Pratt established the Carmen Solis Pratt Re-Entry Scholarship in 2001 in memory of his mother who valued education, but was unable to attend college herself.

Each year, a recipient is selected among applicants who are returning to school, and are 35 years of age or older.

Diana is a returning student pursuing a new career in cybersecurity. She has earned a perfect 4.0 GPA and serves as the Vice President of the Computer Club. 

“I am both honored and excited to have been chosen as the recipient of the Carmen Solis Pratt Scholarship. I am also most grateful to Mr. Dan Pratt for his generosity. Receiving this scholarship means a great deal to me because it has made it possible for me to continue to pursue my educational goals, improve my circumstances and provides much needed encouragement,” said Diana.
