High school counselors get closer look at Cerritos College programs

Financial Aid sessionNearly 120 high school counselors in the college's serving districts and beyond participated in the 17th annual High School Counselor Conference on February 2.

Organized by the School Relations and supported by a host of campus departments, the conference offered vital information and updates to high school counselors on admissions, career technical education, academic programs, and educational partnerships offered at Cerritos College.

The day started with the Cerritos College Gospel Choir and the commercial music student band's uplifting musical performance welcoming the guests.

President Jose Fierro welcomed the group, followed by Dr. Robyn Brammer, highlighting enrollment information, the new Cerritos College app, the CSU/UC Dual Admissions program, Transfer Academy, and MESA, among other programs.

Featured breakout sessions included campus tours and presentations on fine arts, student accessibility services, financial aid, dual enrollment, and dual admissions/transfer information. At the end of the program, the guests connected with the college programs and services in a tabling session.
