METHODS OF COMPLIANCE
The Cerritos College Dental Hygiene Department will follow Standard Precautions for infection control as outlined by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the National Institute of Health (NIH), the American Dental Assocation (ADA), the Occupational Safety and Health Assocation (OSHA), and California State OSHA, (CAL OSHA). Students will be instructed on Standard precautions and will practice all necessary procedures throughout the entire program, in both preclinical and clinical courses. Mandated records will be maintained by the Dental Hygiene Director. The records will be filed in a locked filing cabinet in order to maintain the confidentiality status of certain documents in each individual's personal file.
