ENGT281: Advanced SolidWorks Design for Experts
Available from Fall 2025

Certification: Certified SolidWorks Expert (CSWE)

Description: This is the pinnacle of SolidWorks certification and is considered the highest level of proficiency one can achieve. The course covers advanced topics and expert-level skills in SolidWorks, ensuring that students are fully prepared to tackle the most complex design challenges. Topics include advanced modeling techniques, complex surfacing, intricate assembly design, and in-depth parametric modeling. Completing this course and passing the certification exam will establish students as experts in the field, a credential often seen as a “doctorate” in SolidWorks. For CSWE exam, students will need to purchase their own voucher. If student fails the CSWE exam, he will need to wait 90  days for the re-examination.

Certification Preparation and Vouchers
Certification culminates with the Certified SolidWorks Expert (CSWE), the highest certification, considered a “doctorate” in SOLIDWORKS. For students who did not complete certification during the class, starting from Fall 2025, we offer ENGT200L - Certification Preparation Lab where they can practice for the next certification attempt. Cerritos College provides free vouchers and a free copy of SolidWorks SEK student edition to all students for all exams except for the Certified SolidWorks Expert. For the Expert exam, students need to purchase their own vouchers.

  • ENGT103: Certification: Autodesk Certified User (ACU) - Inventor
  • ENGT257: Certification: Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) - Inventor
  • ENGT138: Certification: Autodesk Certified User (ACU) - AutoCAD
  • ENGT137: Certification: Autodesk Certified User (ACU) - Fusion 360

For the Autodesk certifications, students need to purchase their own exam vouchers.
