Welcome to the Cerritos College Fab Lab
Where Innovation Meets Creation
About the Fab Lab
Welcome to the Cerritos College Fab Lab, located in the ME1 building. Our state-of-the-art
facility is designed to support students and community members in prototyping, fabrication,
and hands-on innovation. Whether you're creating a competition robot, designing parts
for drones, or working on the next great invention, the Fab Lab is here to make your
dreams come true.
Our Mission
At the Cerritos College Fab Lab, our mission is to foster creativity, innovation,
and learning through access to advanced fabrication technologies and resources. We
aim to empower individuals to bring their ideas to life, bridge the gap between conceptualization
and production, and cultivate a community of makers and innovators.

Community and Collaboration
We believe that innovation thrives in a collaborative environment. The Fab Lab is
not just a place to work on projects; it's a community of like-minded individuals
who share a passion for making and creativity. Join us by enrolling into our ENGT,
ET and NPD classes, and participation in our Engineering Technology / Robotics club.
You will have a chance to participate in in class project showcases, and collaborative
events that bring together students, faculty, and community industrial advisory committee
members.
Get Involved
Ready to start your next project at the Fab Lab? The Fab Lab is exclusively available
to students currently enrolled in the Engineering Design Technology, Engineering
Technology, and New Products Development classes. Whether you are a student, a hobbyist,
or a professional, the Fab Lab is open to all who are eager to create and innovate
within the enrolled programs. Enroll into one of our ENGT, ET, or NPD classes to start
!
Access to the Lab
The access to the lab is limited to only current students enrolled in the ENGT, ET,
and NPD classes. This summer 2025, we are offering the class ENGT105: Product Design, Development, and Prototype Fabrication. In this class, you can develop your product from concept to realization. Other classes
which use of the FabLab resources are:
- ENGT111 Plastics Technology
- ENGT209 Plastics Injection Molding I
- ENGT 251: Composites Fabrication
- ET102: Electronics for Engineering Technology
- ENGT259: Introduction to SOLIDWORKS
- ENGT103 Introduction to Engineering Design with Inventor
