WHAT: The Cerritos College Foundation invites the community and friends to join its Race for Falcon Futures. Participants are encouraged to donate their time and dollars to complete a self-guided 5K, 10K, or half marathon race to raise funds for the Foundation’s Student Relief Fund. Participants choose their own course and set their own pace, choosing whether to run, bike, walk, jog, among other active ways to complete their miles. Race for Falcon Futures is scheduled through December 31, and participants who join at the $25, $30, and $35 entry levels will receive a free commemorative t-shirt.

LBS Financial Credit Union is sponsoring the race. All proceeds go to the Student Relief Fund.

The Student Relief Fund provides students with access to food, housing, and technology to help them complete their educational goals. The Foundation raised more than $73,000 to support students through its first campaign phase. The Foundation has allocated an additional $25,000 for emergency support using existing funds, totaling nearly $100,000. The Race for Falcon Futures will help support the Foundation's new campaign goal of raising another $50,000 to support students through the fall semester.
