Herencias Culinarias Culinary Competition Highlights Culinary Heritage of Latin America

Culinary competition groupThe Culinary Arts Program hosted a cooking competition Herencias Culinarias on November 26.

Five student competitors, Marlow Amezcua, Vianey Bailon, Melodie Carlos, Steven Juarez, and Omar Ramos were given 1.5 hours to complete one entrée (two plates) in the theme of “Modern Latin Cuisine”.  The theme highlighted new, modern versions of traditional cuisine from a variety of Latin American cultures from around the world.

The competition was supported by the generosity of individual sponsors Beatriz Ricartti, Dinorah Ruiz, and Martha Zamora.
