American Sign Language I
- Students use American Sign Language vocabulary in context, including dialogues and readings on basic conversational skills, such as introductions, exchanging personal information, surroundings, numbers, home, family, and describing activities.
- To prepare and present an individual presentation incorporating the linguistic structures learned during the course.
- Attend a deaf event, observe deaf individuals and deaf culture.
- Students demonstrate basic understanding of deaf culture.
