American Sign Language III

  1. Students use American Sign Language vocabulary in context, including dialogues and readings on a variety of subjects including telling locations, conversational strategies, telling about life events, describing shapes, and discussing recreational activities.      
  2. To further develop awareness of the unique cultural aspects of the American Deaf Culture.
  3. To prepare and present an individual presentation incorporating the linguistic structures learned during the course.
  4. Students attend two deaf events, interact with deaf individuals, and evaluate success in interacting linguistically and culturally.
