Romance Linguistics
- Demonstrate knowledge of French phonology, morphology, and syntax
- Students demonstrate knowledge of Romance phonology, morphology, and syntax.
- Apply linguistic rules to analyze French structures through their evolution from Latin
- Students have knowledge of history of French language and its evolution from Latin.
- Apply logical thinking and critical analysis through linguistic data and interpretation of patterns, as part of linguistic methodology
- Students demonstrate knowledge of verbal, nominal, and adjectival inflection.
- Students demonstrate knowledge of derivation with or without any morphological change.
- Students apply linguistic rules in order to analyze Romance (with an emphasis on French) structures through their evolution from Latin.
- Students demonstrate logical thinking and crucial analysis through linguistic data and interpretation of patterns as represented in UG/IP diagrams.
