Romance Linguistics

  1. Demonstrate knowledge of French phonology, morphology, and syntax
  2. Students demonstrate knowledge of Romance phonology, morphology, and syntax.
  3. Apply linguistic rules to analyze French structures through their evolution from Latin
  4. Students have knowledge of history of French language and its evolution from Latin.
  5. Apply logical thinking and critical analysis through linguistic data and interpretation of patterns, as part of linguistic methodology
  6. Students demonstrate knowledge of verbal, nominal, and adjectival inflection.
  7. Students demonstrate knowledge of derivation with or without any morphological change.
  8. Students apply linguistic rules in order to analyze Romance (with an emphasis on French) structures through their evolution from Latin.
  9. Students demonstrate logical thinking and crucial analysis through linguistic data and interpretation of patterns as represented in UG/IP diagrams.
