Frida Kahlo and Mexican Muralists

  1. Recognize some structures of the major writers, literary works, movements such as the Mexican Revolution, the Riots/Revolts that lead to the Revolution, the Agrarian Reforms, Mexican Muralism, et al; trends such migration, music, vestments, etc.; and genres in Mexican art and literature from 1900 to 1960.
  2. Write creative essays and analytical works in which students synthesize their acquired knowledge; that demonstrate knowledge of the culture, history, literature, and geography of this period.
  3. Demonstrate advanced critical thinking and writing skills through the analysis of literature, such as novels, essays, biographies, and documentaries.
  4. Demonstrate appreciation of diversity, and learn to interact with people of all cultures, ethnicities, and religious backgrounds.
