Areté - The Center for Reading and Writing in Philosophy

Areté offers academic support to students enrolled in philosophy classes in the areas of:

  • Writing philosophy papers
  • Reading primary sources
  • Reviewing Logic concepts relevant to logic classes 
  • Guiding students in completion of homework

Drop by on an as-needed basis for help!

Arete is offered in the fall and spring semesters (No summer hours at this time). Arete begins on the 3rd week of instruction and ends on the 17th week (No hours on finals week).           Thinker statue

Monday: Noon - 2:00 pm

Tuesday: 9:30 am - 11:30 am

Wednesday: 10:00 am - Noon

Friday: Noon - 2:00 pm
