Areté - The Center for Reading and Writing in Philosophy
Areté: (Ancient Greek: ἀρετή), excellence of any kind; the act of living up to one's full potential.
Areté offers academic support to students enrolled in philosophy classes in the areas of:
- Writing philosophy papers
- Reading primary sources
- Reviewing Logic concepts relevant to logic classes
- Guiding students in completion of homework
Drop by on an as-needed basis for help!
Arete is offered in the fall and spring semesters (No summer hours at this time).
Arete Opens for the Spring 2025 semester on Tuesday February 25th.
Hours:
Tuesday: 9:30 am - 12:30 am Online/Zoom and in SS-16 (the Social Science basement)
Wednesday: 9:30 am - 12:30 am Online/Zoom and in SS-16 (the Social Science basement)
Thursday: 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm Online/Zoom only
