High School Counselor Conference
We are excited to announce that our 18th annual High School Counselor Conference is on Friday, January 31, 2025.
Our High School Counselor Conference provides valuable insights, up-to-date campus information, and expert guidance on Cerritos College’s open admission process. Specialized breakout sessions are available to choose from along with tours, and breakfast is provided. Free parking in Lot 10.
We extend a warm welcome all counselors and advisors involved in assisting their students as they prepare for college. Join us at the Conference to stay informed and well-prepared in guiding your students toward success at Cerritos College.

Campus Tour: Featuring our Student Ambassadors and Fine Arts Faculty, Lab Technicians, and Students
Location: Student Center Entrance
Embark on a guided tour led by our Student Ambassadors; explore our cutting-edge facilities, gain insights into our academic programs and departments, and hear from our Ambassadors about their College experiences.Next, visitors will stop by our Ceramics Classroom & Studio, to observe our Advanced Ceramics Classes at work. The class is a 3.0 unit course that meets Fridays from 9:30 am - 3:20 pm. The class is a combined class that includes sections of students pursuing both Hand Building or Wheel Throwing, all of whom have completed the pre-requisite course, ART 150.
Visitors will be given a tour of the Ceramics Facilities that includes our Hand Building & Wheel Throwing classrooms, Glaze Room, Kiln Room with clay mixers and multiple gas and electric kilns where all our work is fired. The classes that are in our program are: ART 150 Introduction to Ceramics, ART 151 Introduction to Wheel Throwing, ART 153 Intermediate Wheel Throwing, ART 152 Beginning Hand Building, ART 154 Intermediate Hand Building and ART 298 Directed Study.
The studio tours will be facilitated by our advanced students, Lab Technicians and faculty.

Join us for an insightful session highlighting the comprehensive support systems available through the EOPS/CARE, and LINC/NextUp programs at Cerritos College. These vital programs are designed to provide resources for students facing social, economic, or educational barriers, ensuring they have the support needed to thrive academically and professionally. -
Stepping Out of The Shadows: UndocuFalcon Scholars Program Overview

During this session, participants will learn about the services provided to immigration-impacted students at Cerritos College. Participants will be provided with an overview of the undocumented population and the unique challenges that students face. Most importantly, participants will be provided with tangible strategies to service this vulnerable population. - Launching Futures in Special Education: Cerritos College's New Career Pathway Starting

Cerritos College is launching a new career path in Special Education starting Fall 2025. This initiative will include innovative coursework, such as a dedicated course for exploring Special Education teaching. The program will also provide details on the Special Education Certificate and AA Degree, designed to prepare students for transfer to CSULB’s Special Education Integrated Teaching Pathway. - Providing Equitable Basic Need Services to Support Academic Success
