History of ASEP
The General Motors Automotive Service Educational Program(ASEP) is a two-year automotive program designed to upgrade the technical competency and professionalismof the dealership technician. The curriculum is designed by General Motors andCerritos College, and leads to an Associate Degree. The program involves not only attending classroomlecture and laboratory on GM products at Cerritos, but also requires the student to work at a General Motors dealership. Since the student earnswhile he/shelearns, a considerableportion of the costs involved in the program is offset.
