ITS User Services

User services define the capabilities that ITS will provide to customers. A list of the 7 bundles and their respective user services is provided on the following page.

The current list of user services is not final. The services currently identified are expected to change over time.

The user services were jointly defined by a collaborative process involving the US DOT and ITS America, with significant stakeholder input. A different set could have been defined. The important point is that the concept of user services allows the process of system or project definition to begin by thinking about what high level of services will be provided to address identified problems and needs.
